Janelle Giresi PT, DPT, PES
Dr. Janelle Giresi, DPT, received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Rutgers University in 2007. While pursuing her degree she worked with the Athletic Training department for the Rutgers University Football team, both on the field and off providing rehabilitation to injured athletes. Janelle continued her education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ-Rutgers, where she graduated with distinction with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
She specializes in orthopedics, has considerable experience working with athletes and pediatric patients in private practice. She welcomes the challenge of treating patients of all ages and diagnoses. She received the National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist Certification early on in her career, and is certified in treating patients Parkinson’s Disease, having completed the LSVT BIG training. She prides herself on being a manual therapist, expert analyzer of functional movement patterns, and in utilizing therapeutic taping techniques. She is also Herman & Wallace pelvic trained and is pursuing a passion for women’s health.
Thus far in her career she has served as a Clinical Instructor, a Manager and a Director of Physical Therapy. She loves being part of an interdisciplinary group and the opportunity it provides to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide what patients need to maximize and achieve their best outcomes.
Janelle and her husband Chris are proud parents of two young girls who enjoy spending time together swimming, fishing and paddle boarding on the lake near their home. They also enjoy traveling to Aruba with friends and family when they are in need of sun, surf and sand.
